The Estate

Land, Heritage & Living Landscape

Little Englishman's Bay Estate is a historic estate on the island of Tobago, where coastline, rainforest, rivers and cultivated land meet within a single, remarkably diverse landscape. Its projects, some existing and many in development or planning, are gathered into six areas.

A History of Tobago

The Island Everyone Wanted

Tobago changed hands more than thirty times as empires fought over its fresh water, fertile valleys and sheltered bays. Pirates, forts, fine cocoa and a rainforest protected since 1776: in 1777, in the middle of it all, Little Englishman's Bay Estate was established.

From the Estate

Rainforest Spring Water

Tobago's rainforest, protected since 1776, gathers the rain that feeds the island's springs, rivers and waterfalls. Fresh water once drew sailors to these shores. Today it is one of the estate's quiet treasures.

Rainforest Spring Water is the estate's initiative to conserve its natural freshwater resources and explore their potential future development.
